When Elder’s Panthers take on the Fighting Irish on Oct. 2 at Arlington, the Elder coach said his team will face a battle.

“We have been preparing for a really good football team. It is going to be a huge challenge. They have beaten the two teams that beat us. We have played two really exciting games with them the last two years,” wrote Head Coach Mr. Doug Ramsey in an email.

The Panthers will have to leave Cincinnati at 3 p.m. to be on time and prepared to warm up for the game, which starts at 7 p.m.

The Panthers have started off their season with a 3-2 record, losing to St. Xavier and LaSalle. The Irish have played both of these teams and beaten them. The Irish come into the game with a 6-0 record and a first-place ranking in the state 5A poll.
