Because it makes me feel cool. 

I’m never cool, and if I can have a single solitary moment 

where I feel cool, I’m going to reach down into that dropped hole 

and snatch that moment from its labyrinth. 

That labyrinth is somewhere where I have been trapped,

my anxiety dragged me in there and shut the door behind me

like a bully and a locker room, but the friends I made

to help me navigate ended up being the friends that got me out

A year and a half. It took a year and a half to traverse 

the dungeon of my own conscience and

as I sit to watch wars between learners

I am tossed aside, unthought of

and forgotten
