The counseling department will be hosting a NCAA Eligibility Information Night that will take place on Dec 4 in the Student Life Center at 6:30 p. m. The department encourages athletes and their families to attend this event regarding NCAA eligibility.

This session, organized by college counselor Mr. Terry Knaus, is open to student athletes in all grades. Knaus said that this event has taken place in previous years, and its purpose is to help students and their parents who are interested in competing in college level sports learn about the NCAA eligibility requirements and information.

At the event, there will be experts from the NCAA headquarters, who will discuss a number of topics including the requirements for eligibility. Prospective student athletes and their parents will also hear what they should be doing in each year of high school to prepare for NCAA eligibility. Information on how students should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center, and other important information will also be provided.

There is no fee to attend, and participants do not have to register. Students and parents are asked to contact Knaus if they have any questions about the event.
