Several weeks since its first visit to campus, the Indiana Blood Center will be coming again. Emails were sent to the sophomore, junior and senior classes to recruit students to donate blood.

Students are reminded that only eligible individuals are allowed to donate during resource and flex periods. Students will not be allowed to miss class in order to donate.

To be eligible, students must, according to the Indiana Blood Center:

  • Be at least 17 years old (16 with signed parent/guardian consent form. Call 317 916-5150 to obtain this form);
  • Be healthy and feel well;
  • Provide valid photo identification;
  • Pass a mini-physical and health history screening;
  • Allow 60 minutes (includes registration, screening, mini-physical, donation and post-donation snack);
  • Other than special exceptions, weigh at least 110 pounds.

The blood drive will take place on Feb. 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the WAC Lobby.
