Women’s soccer to battle for Semistate title

Football, volleyball, cross-country also in action

The women’s soccer team hopes to add another trophy to this season when it plays for the Semistate title against Evansville Memorial on Oct. 20.

The following sports compete in their Sectional, Regional and Semistate tournaments on either Oct. 19 or Oct. 20. Locations and prices are listed below. More information can be found on the IHSAA website.

Sectional (Oct. 19)


Location: Southport High School vs. Plainfield

Time: 7 p.m

Admission: $6 per person

Advancement: Winner of game will play Roncalli on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

Regional (Oct. 20)

Women’s volleyball

Location: Greenfield-Central High School

Time: 10 a.m.

Admission: $7 per session or $10 for both sessions

Advancement: Winner of match will play the winner of the Avon and Greenfield-Central game at 7:30 p.m.

Semistates (Oct. 20)

Men’s and women’s cross-country

Location: Blue River Park

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Admission: $5 a person

Advancement: The top 10 individuals from non‐advancing teams and the first five qualifying teams from each Regional will advance to the State Finals.

Women’s soccer

Location: Evansville North High School vs. Evansville Memorial 

Time: 2 p.m. (local time, 3 p.m. Eastern time)

Admission: $10 per person
