Holy Cross spring award winners named
Seventeen students earn recognition

At a breakfast before school and during alpha period in the Shiel Student Life Center on April 30, student recipients of the spring Holy Cross awards were honored.
Blessed Basil Moreau winners: Seniors Ellie Morse and Lindy Parr; juniors Edwin Perez and Sarah Pope; sophomores Caroline Buhner and Connor Gianoli; freshmen Kiersten Fisher and Will Mayer.
According to theology teacher Mrs. Katie Lewis, Basil Moreau recipients demonstrate leadership, excel in the classroom, provide service to the school and community and show evidence of incorporating Cathedral’s core values in their daily attitudes and behaviors.
St. Brother Andre Bessette winners: Seniors Blake Bridges and Gia Peduto; juniors Mikey Boyle and Katie Darragh; sophomore Lauren Dubbink, Aris Inkrott and Gabriel Tice; freshmen Gabi Hill and Ethan Velazquez.
Lewis said these students “show consistent conscientious effort in all endeavors, provide generous service to others, involve themselves in student activities, demonstrate Christian values and exhibit polite, positive and helpful attitudes.”
