Men’s golf team wins City tournament

Title is fifth in a row for the Irish

The City champion men’s golf team stands with its hardware after winning the tournament for the fifth consecutive year.

For the fifth consecutive year, the men’s golf team has captured the City tournament title. Head Coach Mr. Pat Fagan said the squad was led by junior Carter Caito and senior Luke Mattingly, whose scores of 72 tied them for second in the tournament, which was played May 2 at the South Grove course.

Team standings: Cathedral 296, Heritage Christian 314, Bishop Chatard 317, Covenant Christian 334, Cardinal Ritter 358, Scecina Memorial 395, Crispus Attucks (incomplete, only three players), Shortridge (incomplete, only two players).
