For the first time the admissions team is offering a chance for a sibling shadow day on Sept. 26. Brothers and sisters of current students may spend the day on campus.
Enrollment Coordinator Mrs. Maribeth Malarney Cloud ’86 wrote in an email that the sibling shadow day was a collaborative idea from the admissions team. Cloud said, “We are always looking at new and innovative ways to engage with prospective students.”
All grades can host their siblings and students do not have to be a shadow host in order for your sibling to shadow.
Cloud said, “This is just another way to celebrate this year’s theme of family. We do not typically host shadow visitors during Homecoming, but we find that many of the siblings of our current students want to experience the Cathedral spirit during Homecoming week. They want to be a part of the fun and excitement.”
Cloud added, “The visitors will receive a special ‘little sibs’ shadow day T-shirt.”
The response to the sibling shadow day has received an overwhelming response and could pave the way for a new tradition, Cloud said.
