Library/media assistant Ms. Alannah Cataldo provided information about the extended library hours during finals week. The library will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 16, Dec. 17, Dec. 18 and Dec. 19.

“We usually (in the past) have had extended hours until 7 p.m. but most people don’t stick around too late on finals days since (students) only have a half-day of school, so we’re actually shortening the day to 5 p.m. because most kids are gone by then,” she said.

Cataldo said during finals week the library usually has many students come in after school. She said, “They don’t stay terribly long but they will stay and study for two or three hours after school gets out on finals days.”

Worth noting on Monday, Dec. 16, the library space will close at 4 p.m. and patrons will move to the cafeteria because an event in the library. Cataldo said, “While the library is open until 5 p.m., we won’t be in the library itself.”
