Why did you choose to apply to Cathedral: I chose to apply at Cathedral because I wanted to be part of its outstanding academic, cultural and athletic offerings and its history as a school of excellence.

Describe your professional experience prior to Cathedral: Prior to Cathedral, I coached college soccer for 20 years at Butler University, the University of Indianapolis, Ball State University and IUPUI. I have also worked in automotive appraising, buying and sales for 12 years, and for the U.S. Army in Europe.

This year’s Cathedral theme is Excellence. How will you carry out this goal in your classroom? I hope to carry out this year’s theme of Excellence by preparing students as tomorrow’s citizens for society, and hopefully influencing their futures by doing what I do well as a teacher, mentor and/or coach.

What are your professional and personal goals at Cathedral this year? Some of my personal and professional goals that I hope to achieve at Cathedral include teaching interactive and engaging lessons that will inspire and motivate students to become excited about world languages and building lasting relationships with my fellow Cathedral teachers, mentors, staff and coaches.

What is an interesting fact about you that students would be surprised to know? An interesting fact about me is that I am an expert alpine snow skier and have skied some of the world’s most famous and difficult ski runs, including Zermatt and St. Moritz (Switzerland), Val d’Isere and Courchevel (France), Innsbruck and Kitzbuehl (Austria) and Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy).
