Key returning players: Seniors Camden Jordan and Nate McCahill, who is expected to start as quarterback for the varsity, lead a deep and talented team. Other standouts for the Irish, according to Coach Peebles, include seniors Jake Langdon, David Perry, Farrell Henderson, Jayden Scruggs, David Guhl and Zane Hill; juniors Owen Wood, Huddy Miller, Jack Goheen and Jeff Utzinger; and sophomore Brennan Wooten.
Season opener: The team travels to Westfield Aug. 21.
From Coach Peebles: “This is the deepest team I have had as a head coach. There is a lot of competition at all positions. We will have to come together quickly to be able to compete against five teams that played in a State championship last year.”
